        In early 1949, the Soviet special envoy Mikoyan came to Xibaipo. 5 secretaries of the CPC Central Committee, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai and Ren Bishi, showed their hospitality with Hengshui Laobaigan. Mikoyan said “Your Laobaigan is better than our vodka!”
