  • Wicker Liquor basket

    Traditional container for transporting Hengshui Laobaigan raw liquor. With the wicker basket as the skeleton, the special mulberry paper is mixed with quicklime and pig's blood to form a unique semi-permeable film. The water will leak, but it can firmly lock the wine points, and it has a good anti-seepage effect on the liquor.

  • Underground Tun for Fermentation

    The Underground Tun for Fermentation is the core of Hengshui Laobaigan's traditional brewing process. It is made of custom-made pottery vats buried in the ground, and the vats are flush with the ground, in which the grain is placed for brewing. The unique moisture and heat preservation advantages of the ground tank create the best fermentation environment and promote the generation of beneficial ingredients. The ground tank is easy to clean and conducive to health control, so that the fermented grains are completely isolated from the soil. While maintaining the aroma of the grain brewing itself, the fermented grains are completely avoided from the evil, miscellany and harmful substances brought by the soil. All these make the brewing wine cleaner and purer, and create the characteristic that the wine does not go to the head after drinking it aged and dry.

  • Ceramic jar

    The Ceramic jar used for storing liquor in Hengshui Laobaigan is produced in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, and is made of clay fired. The pottery container has good air permeability and contains a variety of metal ions, which can promote the aging of the wine. After a long time of storage in the pottery jar, the raw wine collects the attributes of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and gathers the essence of time. The complex physical and chemical changes occur due to the continuous association between the molecules of the wine body, making it more fragrant and mellow.

  • Square tun

    The square tun is a traditional wooden container for storing Hengshui Laobaigan raw liquor. It is a special type of Hengshui Laobaigan. After a hundred years of traditional technology paste, pure handmade, each tun production is completed, must go through the complicated production process. Square tun has the characteristics of leakage resistance, acid corrosion resistance, beautiful shape, long-term storage can promote the aging of liquor, etc.

  • Get off the Horse for Bouquet

    Hengshui, formerly known as Peach City, where Wang Zhihuan, a great poet in ancient China, used to have been served as deputy governor during Shenlong’s Reign in the Tang Dynasty. As a matter of fact, Hengshui liquor became widely known then. It is said that Wang Zhihuan smelt a strong scent of liquor upon his arrival at Hengshui and he galloped his horse and found a liquor store, then he got off and had a taste, immediately felt intoxicating and refreshing. From then on, Wang Zhihuan had Hengshui liquor exclusively for entertaining his guests, and complimented it “getting off the horse for bouquet and opening the jar with fragrance lingering in 10 miles”.
