1915 Square

In 1915, in order to celebrate the opening of navigation of the Panama Canal, an international competition was held in San Francisco to commemorate the connecting between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans. It was called the “Panama International Goods Fair”, the predecessor of the World Exposition. The awards include Grand prize, Medal of honor, Gold medal, Silver medal, Bronze medal and Honorable medal. It was also the first time for China to take part in international affairs as a state participant. This part of the history is marked as the first time for goods made in China to go to the world. Such award marked a leading position of its technology and quality for the time. Products from Deju, one of the 18 distilleries, representing Zhili Government, sailed over the great oceans and stepped on the world stage, and won the top gold award. To honor this award, we developed 1915 series in the end of 2008.
